Sharon Police to Provide Free Firearm Safety Locks

This is though a partnership with Project Childsafe.

The Sharon Police Department will provide free firearm safety locks to local residents through a partnership with Project ChildSafe, a nationwide firearms safety education program, according to Sharon Police.

Free gun locks will be available at any time at the Police Department to any person who provides a valid pistol permit or Firearms Identification Card (FID). Up to three gun locks will be given to each resident.

Project Childsafe is the nation's largest firearm safety education program. Gun owners are asked to get a safety kit from participating law enforcement partners in their state. Law enforcement agencies are the only ones who are eligible to receive safety kits from Project ChildSafe.
