Sharon Police: 'Rash of Day Time House Breaks'

Day time housebreaks continue in Sharon and surrounding towns.

Sharon Police, on its Facebook page, reiterated its warning to residents that Sharon and surrounding towns have been experiencing a rash of day time house breaks. Norfolk, too, has also had some.

"If you see something suspicious please call us. Often there will be a lookout that stays in a vehicle while the other person breaks into the house. If you notice a vehicle in your neighborhood that looks out of place please write down the license plate number and description of the vehicle and call us. The most common items taken during breaks are jewelry and electronics. The bad guys don’t want to be in the house for a long period of time, so please hide your jewelry. Most people keep their jewelry in a box on their dresser in the master bedroom. The bad guys know this, and that is the first place they go. Make it harder for them to find it."
