Sharon Police Log: Motorist Leaves Accident Scene

The following information was provided by the Sharon Police Department daily log. Where an arrest was made it does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, Nov. 4

1:40 a.m. - A motorist received a written warning when stopped for speeding down South Main Street and Wolomolopoag Street.

2:08 a.m. - Motor vehicle citation on Inca Trail and Aztec Road. Motor vehicle had no front license plate.

2:51 a.m. - There was a report of a motor vehicle which was running and no one was inside or around the vehicle.

1:43 p.m. - Suspicious activity/vandalism on Pond Street.

2:48 p.m. - A person was bitten by a dog on Mallard Drive.

3:21 p.m. - Erratic driving of a motor vehicle on Ames Street and South Main Street.

4:10 p.m. - A mailbox was vandalized on Mountain Street.

9:31 p.m. - A Massachusetts motorist was stopped on North Main Street at Bay Road for improper passing in a marked lane. A written warning was issued.

10:09 p.m. - Erratic operation of a motor vehicle by a Massachusetts motorist on Massapoag Ave. and Capen Hill Road.

Monday, Nov. 5

8:40 a.m. - A suspicious motor vehicle with no license plates on Woodland Street and Summer Street.

Tuesday, Nov. 6

6:33 a.m. - A motor vehicle accident on Bay Road and East Street with property damage.

11:43 a.m. - A Massachusetts motorist was reported for leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, hit and run on Massapoag Ave. and Tanglewood Road.

2:36 a.m. - A report of vandalism to a mailbox on Sherwood Circle.

5:36 p.m. - Erratic operation of a motor vehicle was reported on South Main Street and East Foxboro Stret when motorist was driving over the double yellow line.

6:40 p.m. - A motor vehicle accident with property damage on East Chestnut Street.

7:52 p.m. - There was an attempted burglary on Station Street. Resident interrupted possible breaking and entering.

Wednesday, Nov. 7

8:59 a.m. - Fingerprints for California licensing were taken at the police station.

10:54 a.m. - There was a motor vehicle accident with property damage on Canton Street and North Main Street.

11:19 a.m. - There was an unoccupied suspicious motor vehicle with Massachusetts plates on Train Station Street and Chestnut Street.

6:32 p.m. - Erratic operation of a motor vehicle by a Massachusetts motorist on Bay Road and Plain Street.

7:07 p.m. - A motor vehicle accident with property damage on East Foxboro Street and Beach Street.

8:37 p.m. - A motor vehicle accident with property damage when a car smashed into a pole on Moose Hill Street.

9:43 p.m. - A motor vehicle accident with damage when a car was reported off the road on Wolomolopoag Street and Furnace Street.

Thursday, Nov. 8

12 a.m. - A motor vehicle accident when a town vehicle, a snow plow hit a basketball hoop.

1:47 a.m. - Report of hazardous conditions when a snow plow blade was dropped and left in the middle of the road on South Main Street and Wolomolopoag.

7:20 a.m. - Report of hazardous conditions when wires were hanging on a car in a driveway on Billlings Street.

7:31 a.m. - Report of hazardous conditions when wires were laying across the road on Paul Revere Road and East Street.

4:35 p.m. - Suspicious activity when a party was selling meat and fish out of a truck on Billings Street.

6:49 p.m. - Animal compliant when a deer was struck on Bay Road and Deerfield Road.

Friday, Nov. 9

1:27 a.m. - Report of two suspicious Massachusetts motor vehicles at Shaws Plaza on South Main Street.

7:26 a.m. - A motor vehicle accident with property damage on Rte. 1 Hwy.

6:51 p.m. - Hazardous conditions on Pond Street, report of downed wires.

8:46 p.m. - A Massachusetts motorist was stopped for improper passing on North Main Street and Bayberry Drive.

10:21 p.m. - A speeding citation was issued whe a Massachusetts motorist was going down Norwood Street and Edge Hill Road.

Saturday, Nov. 10

1:53 a.m. - There was suspicous activity of a Massachusetts motorist on Bay Road.

2:48 a.m. - Resident reported suspicious activity whensomeone was knocking on the door on Walpole Street.

8:59 a.m. - A disabled motor vehicle was parked in the middle of the street on High Street and North Main Street.

3:35 p.m. - There was a suspicious motor vehicle parked in the woods on Route 1 Hwy.

5:32 p.m. - There was a multiple car accident with property damage on South Main Street.

8:27 p.m. - Noise complaint/disturbance on Larason Farm Road.

11:18 p.m. - Noise complaint/disturbance on Bay Road.
