Sharon Police Log: Hit, Run on Avalon Drive, Illegal Dumping on East Chestnut Street

Sunday, Jan. 6

12:13 p.m. - There was a hit and run on Avalon Drive. Sharon Police Department assisted Norwood to locate the hit and run motor vehicle.

Monday, Jan. 7

7:18 a.m. - There was a report of illegal dumping over the weekend on East Chestnut Street.

10:28 a.m. - Report of a wire down on Pole 24/16, South Pleasant Street and Edgewood Road. The utility company was notified.

5:54 p.m. - A speeding citation was issued to a Florida motorist on South Main Street and Clark Street.

11:01 p.m. - A speeding citation was issued to a Massachusetts motorist on South Main Street and Ames Street.

Tuesday, Jan. 8

8:00 a.m. - A report of a deer hit on Bay Road and Lincoln Road.

Thursday, Jan. 10

9:20 a.m. - A citation was issued to a Massachusetts commercial vehicle for improper display of registration on Rte. 1.

9:39 a.m. - A two-car motor vehicle accident with property damage on Rte. 1 and Exit 9, Rte. I-95.

1:14 p.m. - A speeding citation was issued to a Massachusetts motor vehicle on Edge Hill Road and Norwood Street.

2:12 p.m. - A report of vandalism $250 or more on Norfolk Place.

3:21 p.m. - A citation was issued to a Massachusetts motorist for driving with a revoked and suspended registration on Norwood Street and Cobbler Lane.

Saturday, Jan. 12

9:30 a.m. - There was a report of a three-car motor vehicle accident with property damage on Gavins Pond Road and South and Street. 

12:21 p.m. - A speeding citation was issued to a Massachusetts motorist on Rte. 1.

10:58 p.m. - A speeding citation was issued to a Massachusetts motorist on Pond Street and Woodland Street.
