Sharon Police Log: Suspicious Motor Vehicles, Couple Living in the Woods and Fireworks

Sept. 16

1:52 p.m. - Speeding on South Main Street and Shaw's Plaza. A written warning was issued.

7:31 p.m. - A suspicious motor vehicle appeared on South Main Street. Officer observed.

9:10 p.m. - Officer stopped driver and gave citation. License suspended.

10:28 p.m. - Disturbance at Shaw's Plaza, tailgating in the parking lot.

4:05 p.m. - There was a motor vehicle accident on North Main Street involving a motor cycle and personal injury.

5:10 p.m. - Report of a suspicious person on South Main Street and Route 95. Report of two hitch hikers sitting on ramp.

Sept. 17

12:54 p.m. - Suspicious motor vehicle which was parked in the lot at Heights Plaza on South Main Street. 

8:52 a.m. - Fingerprints taken at station for liquor license.

10:10 a.m. - Suspicious activity. Report was made of a man and woman living in the woods on Brook Road.

11:07 a.m. - Suspicious activity. Report was made of two women throwing rocks at a motor vehicle on Hampton Road and Mountain Street.

6:18 p.m. - Suspicious activity. Report of a suspicious motor vehicle who was following cars through the ATM line in Post Office Square.

Sept. 18

2:23 a.m. - Suspicious motor vehicle on Massapoag and Community Center Drive was parked atCommunity Center.

2:32 a.m. - Suspicious motor vehicle on East Foxboro Street. An unoccupied motor vehicle in parking lot.

8:24 a.m. - Suspicious activiyt. Resident claims that his trash barrel was taken on East Street.

1:23p.m. - Suspicious activity/Larceny of a bench taken outside of the Rite Aid store on South Main Street.

4:03 p.m. - Criminal harassment activity on Firebrick Road. Report of harassment by brothers ex-wife.

4:50 p.m. - Suspicious activity. Report of two swimmers in the middle of Lake Massapog.

Sept. 19

6:35 a.m. - Report of hazardous conditions at Borderland State Park. A wire on a tree with fire at the base.

8:43 a.m. - Suspicious activity at train station where two dogs were stolen. Train Station Street and Chestnut Street.

10:31 a.m. - Suspicious activity. A black van was seen on Chase Drive and Agwam Road.

12:45 p.m. - Suspicious activity. A man was seen with a clipboard in yard on Pioneer Circle.

1:45 p.m. - Suspicious motor vehicle. A white van backed in to a yard on Ames Street.

3:55 p.m. - Report of a missing person, 42 yearold son has been missing for one week on Hixson Farm Road.

8:39 p.m. - Assault on Wilshire Drive.

Sept. 20

7:38 a.m. - Wild animal complaint on Wilshire Drive. A red fox was seen in front of East Elementary School. 

3:15 p.m. - Motor vehicle accident in Cobbs Corner and North Main Street. No report was filed.

Sept. 21

1:11 p.m. - Suspicious motor vehicle parked on the side of the roadway on Mountain Street.

3:35p.m. - Motor Vehicle accident, leaving the scene on Bay Road.

4:10 p.m. - Alcohol or drug arrest on South Main Street.

9:04 p.m. - Report of suspicious activity on East Street. Vandalism, $250.

Sept. 22

4:03 p.m. - Officer observed suspicious motor vehicle was seen on East Foxboro Street.

10:10 a.m. - Report of a suspicious person standing on the bridge on South Main Street and Route 95.

1:44 p.m. - Report of sick wild animal, a fox in the area of East Street.

8:37 p.m. - Noise complaint on Barefoot Hill Road and Furnace Street. Multiple calls regarding fire works going off.

9:51 p.m. - Suspicious motor vehicle on Billings Street and South Main Street.
