Police Log: Car Hits Tree, Mailbox Vandalized, and More

Dec. 29

2:57 a.m. - Police received a 911 call for a car hitting a tree on Norwood Street. There were no known personal injuries.

11:36 a.m. - Syringes were ground on the ground near Beach Street and Gun House Street.

2:48 p.m. - Arching under the bridge on Depot Street was reported.

2:52 p.m. - Arching under the bridge on Greenwood Road and Maskwonicut Street was reported.

8:57 p.m. - A tree coming down onto a car on High Plain Street was reported.

 

Dec. 30

4:14 p.m. - Receipts, cash, and checks were taken from a van on Aspen Drive.

5:43 p.m. - An erratic operator in a silver Chevy pickup truck was reported on North Main Street and High Street.

9:54 p.m. - After receiving a report of an unwanted party on Mountain Street, police placed a person in protective custody.

11:52 p.m. - A motor vehicle was reported stolen on Route One.

 

Dec. 31

9:02 p.m. - A suspicious motor vehicle was reported on Terrapin Lane and Norwood Street.

9:53 p.m. - A male looking into the window of a building on Old Post Road and Route 1 was reported.

 

Jan. 1

2:30 a.m. - Kids vandalizing mailboxes on Mansfield Street was reported.

1:19 p.m. - An injured dear on ice in the woods behind fields near Gavin's Pond Road was reported.

4:43 p.m. - Youths on the ice near South Main Street was reported.

5:44 p.m. - A loose goat was reported on Morse Street and Massapoag Avenue.

6:35 p.m. - Walpole Police reported a car accident near Route 1 and Exit 9 on Route 95.
