Police Log: Car Crash Leads to OUI Arrest, Backed-up Sewage, and More

The following is from the Sharon Police Log. Where arrests and charges are mentioned, they do not imply conviction.

Dec. 8

9:29 a.m. – A suspicious motor vehicle was reported on Chase Drive.

10:00 a.m. – Plates were seized from a motor vehicle with revoked registration on Merchant Street.

10:40 a.m. – An injured wild turkey on Wolomolopoag Street was reported 

12:34 p.m. – Damage to a motor vehicle on Merchant Street was reported.

5:48 p.m. – A three-car accident with possible injuries was reported on North Main Street and Bayberry Drive.

6:04 p.m. –After receiving a report of a car accident on South Main Street and Route 95, police arrested and charged Augustine Salvetti, 54 of North Andover with operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, second offense, and failure to yield at an intersection.

7:44 p.m. – A single car accident was reported on Bullard Street.

Dec. 9

3:54 a.m. – Police assisted a motorist that ran out of gas. 

5:35 p.m. – A vehicle operating erratically near Willow Street and Mansfield Street was reported. 

6:39 p.m. – A person in all black walking on Aztec Way was reported.

9:58 p.m. – After pulling over a vehicle on North Main Street and Bella Road, police arrested and charged Ekwan Stelle, 35 of Sharon with his second OUI liquor offense, a marked lanes violation, speeding, operating a motor vehicle negligently as to endanger, operating a motor vehicle after having his registration revoked, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

10:57 p.m. – Sewerage backing up into apartments on Avalon Drive was reported.
