The jaws of life were used to free one person involved
Sharon emergency officials had to use the jaws of life Saturday morning to free a motorist who stuck a tree on South Main Street.
Sharon Fire Captain Bert Cummings said one person was involved in the accident and was transported by ambulance to Norwood Hospital. Cummings said the condition of the victim is unavailable at this time.
Sharon Police Sgt. Stephen Coffey said the vehicle struck a tree while heading northbound near Ames Street at approximately 11:18 a.m. The male passenger was driving a pick-up truck and the cab of the truck buckled against the tree, Coffey said. As a result the jaws of life needed to be used.
