Noise Complaints Keep Sharon Police Moving
Here are the highlights of the latest Sharon Police log.
Residents may not have heard that Sharon Police answered a wide range of noise complaints last week.
At 1:33 a.m. Sunday, July 31, someone on Azalea Road reported a noisy basketball game. Later that morning, at 11:53 a.m., someone reported hearing screams from Crest Road Way.
On Tuesday, Aug. 2 at 11:51 p.m., someone reported kids making noise on Cottage Street.

On Wednesday, Aug. 3 at 1:22 a.m., police received a noise complaint from Bay Road. That night, at 11:45 p.m., someone reported noise in the area of South Main and Depot streets.
On Thursday, Aug. 4 at 11:47 p.m., someone complained about the noise from kids playing basketball on Azalea Road.

On Sunday, July 31 at 1:08 a.m., a resident reported a possible intruder.
At 7:56 a.m., a Knob Hill Street resident reported a trapped skunk.
At 11:41 a.m., someone reported a runner or cyclist lying down, conscious and alert, at Old Wolomolopoag and Wolomolopoag streets.
At 12:33 p.m., someone asked a police officer to look at damage to a motor vehicle on Grant Circle.
At 4:50 p.m., a Sherwood Circle resident reported holes in their pool.
At 6:04 p.m., police assisted a citizen on Dehart Avenue; a youth had skateboarded into a motor vehicle.
At 7:26 p.m., someone reported a motor vehicle hit a stop sign at Bay Road at East Street.
At 7:46 p.m., a resident reported finding a young child on Country Lane. Police notified the Department of Social Services.
On Monday, Aug. 1 at 12:39 a.m., someone reported that a door to a building on Hixson Farm Road was open.
At 10:14 a.m., someone reported a motor vehicle accident with no injuries at South Main at South Walpole streets.
At 12:06 p.m., someone reported a tree down on South Walpole Street. The responded, and police notified the utility company.
At 1:30 p.m., a Pleasant Street resident reported their lock was broken and their door was open.
At 4:18 p.m., someone reported a motor vehicle rolled into the lake, from Massapoag Avenue.
At 4:47 p.m., someone reported a dog wandering into middle of the road at Massapoag Avenue at Morse Street.
At 6:55 p.m., someone on Maskwonicut Street reported suspicious items in their mailbox.
At 8:20 p.m., someone reported an individual holding a "Will Work For Food" sign at North Main Street at Cobb's Corner.
At 11:35 p.m., someone reported a tree was down on wires and the power was out on Maple Avenue.
On Tuesday, Aug. 2 at 6:02 p.m., someone reported a dog not leashed on East Foxboro Street.
On Wednesday, Aug. 3 at 8:09 a.m., police notified the gas company of a strong odor of gas on Pond Street.
At 9:06 a.m., someone reported a motor vehicle accident on South Main Street. No report was filed.
At 3:10 p.m., police assisted a citizen after someone reported hearing a female yelling on Pond Street.
On Thursday, Aug. 4 at 8:41 a.m., someone on Route 1 reported fork lift chains were taken.
At 1:02 p.m., someone on Morse Street reported receiving suspicious phone calls.
At 5:38 p.m., someone on South Main Street reported a larceny.
At 5:39 p.m., someone on South Main Street reported unauthorized credit card use.
On Friday, Aug. 5 at 1:09 a.m., someone reported hearing a suspicious noise at Memorial Park Beach, possibly vandals.
At 6:53 a.m., someone reported a power outage on Massapoag Avenue. Police notified the utility company.
At 9:50 a.m., police assisted the Fire Department with a gas line hit on Pond Street.
At 10:15 a.m., someone on Indian Lane reported a toilet was left in a resident's front yard.
At 10:33 a.m., someone reported a motorist hit a pole at Quincy at Ames streets.
At 11:18 a.m., someone reported road rage at South Main at Wolomolopoag streets.
At 1:48 p.m., someone on West Street reported a tree fell on her home.
At 3:25 p.m., someone reported a motor vehicle accident with injuries at Depot at South Main streets.
At 7:16 p.m., someone reported a break-in on Avalon Drive.
On Saturday, Aug. 6 at 9:04 a.m., someone on Chessman Drive reported identity theft.
At 1:41 p.m., someone reported a motor vehicle accident on South Walpole Street.
At 9:39 p.m., police assisted the Fire Department after an E-911 report of a fire on a transformer at Bullard Street at Mont Fern Avenue.
At 11:27 p.m., someone reported people in a parked motor vehicle at Wilshire Drive and Peacock Hill throwing cans.
