During Saturday afternoon's thunderstorm, Sharon fire responded to a house fire caused by lightning.
Around 4 p.m., lightning struck the roof of a Tracey Lane home, causing minor damage to the roof and attic of the house.
Firefighters were able to put the flames out with a water extinguisher after arriving on the scene. Sharon fire officials added that if the owner was not home to report the fire, there could have been more damage to the home.
