All Safe at Sharon's Heights Elementary After Suspicious Package Received in Mail

School resumes Wednesday 'as usual.'

Sharon's had a scare after dismissal Tuesday, when the school received "a suspicious package in the mail," school officials told parents in an alert.

The package prompted and to respond, the message said.

"As a precautionary measure the area bomb squad was also called to the scene. After securing the premises and examining the contents of the package, all is deemed safe and secure," the message said.

"As Heights is one of the locations for the Community Education After Care program, those students still on site were removed from the school. Thank you to the staff of the After Care program, to the administration of Heights Elementary School, and to the Director of Community Education for remaining calm and working together effectively in the best interest of our students."
