Community Corner

Thank You

As many of you may already know, my contract as Director of the Sharon Public Library has not been renewed for FY2014. And so I would like to take this opportunity to thank the many people who live and/or work in Sharon for making the past 16 years at the library so very rewarding for me.
I hold other town department heads and administrators in high regard for the quality and professionalism of their work and it has been gratifying to work with them. I admire the citizens who volunteer to work on the many boards and committees that ensure that the taxpayers are full partners in managing the town.
Working with the Sharon Pluralism Network, the library being a network partner, has truly been an education for me as I learn more and more about the wonderful diversity growing in our town.
I am especially grateful to all of the volunteers on the One Book, One Town Committees over the years who have been more than instrumental in bringing the library into the community and the community into the library.
Mostly though, I would like to thank the taxpayers who so generously support the library and the many readers, listeners, Internet users and program attenders for whom I have worked hard to provide the best library services that I was capable of.
I am happy to be looking forward to moving on with my life be it in public libraries or in some other endeavor. It's almost like starting over and trying to work out what I will be when I grow up!
Thank you for a full and fulfilling 16 years at the Sharon Public Library.
Sincerely,

Barbra Nadler
Sharon
