Boston Celtics & MBTA Team Up to Announce Green Line Improvements

Boston Celtics’ first-round draft pick Kelly Olynyk and Massachusetts Transportation Secretary Richard Davey took the Green Line to North Station yesterday afternoon in an effort to encourage fans to take public transportation to TD Garden this season. Their trip began at Kenmore Square, where the MBTA unveiled new, electronic message boards, displaying information about which Green Line trains will be next or soon to arrive at Kenmore Station.

The Green Line’s customer information system is the next phase in a plan to enhance the experience of taking public transportation through the use of high-tech innovations. Countdown signs are now found on every platform along the Red, Orange and Blue Lines.
