Sharon Obituary: Catherine Crockett, 88

Private funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 29.

Catherine P. (Molloy) Crockett, age 88, of Sharon, passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 24 at the Ellis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Norwood. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert J. Crockett.

Born in Boston on May 22, 1924, Crockett was a loving daughter of the late Patrick and Catherine (Callahan) Molloy.

A resident of Sharon for more than 50 years, she grew up and was educated in Cambridge. Mrs. Crockett was a dedicated homemaker to her adoring family and had formerly worked at the former Thayer Pharmacy in Sharon.

She was a member of the Fortnightly Club in Sharon and was also a former communicant of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Sharon.

Crockett’s family was the essence of her life and she particularly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Her hobbies included playing card games with friends.

She is survived by her devoted son, James A. Crockett and his wife Audrey of Mansfield. She was the cherished grandmother of Dr. Christopher Crockett of Arizona and Brian Crockett and his wife Amelia of Attleboro. She was predeceased by her dear sisters, Rose Molloy, Katherine Calvin and Elizabeth McCusker.

Private funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 29 at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home in Mansfield. Burial will follow in the Rock Ridge Cemetery in Sharon.
