WANTED: Used Postage Stamps for lessons in Teaching History and Tolerance

The Holocaust Stamps Project at Foxborough Regional Charter School has collected 4,082,318 postage stamps towards 11 million being sought.

The dozens of used postage stamps that your office tosses out every day are NEEDED by the students at Foxborough Regional Charter School (which many Sharon students attend) for the Holocaust Stamps Project.

Since 2009, this Community Service Learning initiative has been teaching lessons about tolerance and the  horrible results  that can (and do) occur when people do not respect one another's differences. The goal is to collect 11 MILLION stamps as a visual reminder of the 6 million Jews and 5 million other "enemies of the State" whose lives were taken by the Third Reich between 1938 and 1945.

As of January 30, 2014, the total number of stamps collected was
3, 455,069.  Your help is greatly needed. 11,000,000 is a huge number!

Please deliver or mail your stamps donation to: Holocaust Stamps Project, FRCS, 131 Central St., Foxboro, MA 02035.
