Sharon musician Dan Godlin will open Oliver Ames's annual "Talent for a Cause," an American Idol-like family friendly talent show during which four high schools come together to raise money for a cause, this year for the Progeria Research Foundation in honor of Foxboro's Sam Berns. Dan Godlin, honored to perform at such an event, was interviewed recently for the Sharon High's The Talon: “Throughout the year, schools in the Hockomock League compete with one another on all levels. This event strives to bring four schools together for a very important cause. It reminds us that no matter how competitive we may be, at the end of the day, we are all human and we all face struggles in life.” The family-friendly show features three talented acts from Sharon High, King Philip, Foxboro High, and Oliver Ames.
Tickets are $5 in advance or $8 at the door. Tickets can be reserved by calling either Oliver Ames Student Council Advisor Courtney Smith at 508-230-3210 ext. 1664 or Sharon High School Student Council Advisor Lisa Jolicoeur at 781-784-1554 ext. 7035.
