Community Corner

Community Speak-Out Feb. 9

Sharon residents and friends are invited to the first Sharon Community Speak-Out. The program is free and open to the public.
Based on the popular Teen Speak-Out for Sharon High School students, the Community Speak-Out is geared for adults. Participants will explore the town's diversity and discuss what makes Sharon a community.
A cross section of the community has been invited, with a goal of increasing discussion and deepening understanding between people of many faiths, backgrounds and interests. The program is sponsored by the Sharon Pluralism Network, a collaboration of nine local organizations fostering multicultural and interfaith understanding and engagement. The event will entail large and small group discussions. Good food will round out the day. To register, contact Margie Mitlin at 781-784-1575 or m_mitlin@sharon.k12.ma.us.
