American Beauties at Lakeside Summer Concert Series - Lake Massapoag, Sharon
American Beauties is an original indie folk-rock band from Boston, Massachusetts. The music is reminiscent of the LA, San Francisco, and East Coast folk-rock bands of the late 1960s and early 1970s and mixes both contemporary and roots influences. Their debut album “Too Worn To Mend” was released in October 2012 and was recorded and co-produced by Grammy award winning engineer Ducky Carlisle (Buddy Guy - Living Proof).
The band has been compared to artist’s such as CSNY, The Jayhawks, and The Band and their sound conveys the radio-friendly qualities of folk, rock, and pop that these bands are well-known for. The record has received extensive airplay on college and independent radio in the US, Canada, and the UK.
Singer-songwriter-guitarist Michael Gray is a Sharon resident and will be taking the stage with his band at Memorial Beach Park on Wednesday July 30th as part of the Town of Sharon Recreation Department's Lakeside Summer Concert Series.
