Phillippi Ryan to Sign Books at Annie's Book Stop

Annie's Book Stop of Sharon announces Hank Phillippi Ryan is coming to sign her new paperback mystery, "The Other Woman" at the store. The autograph party will be held from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Saturday, July 20, complete with light refreshments, at the book store in the Heights Plaza, 362 S. Main St., Sharon.
Ryan, an Emmy Award-winning Boston investigative journalist, has turned her talents to writing mysteries - and she's very, very good at it. Author of five best-selling mysteries, she has won the Agatha, Anthony and Macavity awards for her crime fiction.
She is also on the national board of directors of Mystery Writers of America and is President of Sisters in Crime. "The Other Woman" has been nominated for multiple prestigious awards, including the Agatha, Anthony, Macavity and Shamus Awards, and has won The coveted Mary Higgins Clark award. The books was also named to the year's Top Ten by the Boston Globe, the Kansas City Star, and *Suspense Magazine."
In it, Ryan uses her experience and knowledge of news reporting to convey a gripping political mystery/thriller - "Dirty politics. Dirty tricks. And a barrage of final twists. A disgraced journalist and a Boston detective find themselves chasing the same case .... and they may be facing a ruthless killer who will stop at nothing to silence a scandal.
As one character warns: 'You can choose your sin - but you cannot choose your consequences.' Seduction, betrayal, and murder - it'll take a lot more than votes to win this election."
