Obituary: Maureen L. (McLaughlin) Levangie

Maureen L. (McLaughlin) Levangie of Sharon died Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at the Copley at Stoughton after a period of failing health.
She was the wife of the late Edward A. Levangie. Maureen was born in Quincy and raised in Braintree a daughter of the late Emmet and Ellen (Murphy) McLaughlin and was a graduate of Braintree High School.
Maureen had lived in Sharon for the past two years previously residing in Onset for 20 years and Brockton for many years.
Maureen and her husband had been the proprietors of R.W. Barrows Jewelers in Rockland for many years.
She was a huge Red Sox fan and in her free time enjoyed crossword puzzles and trips to the ocean. Maureen’s true joy in life was her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Maureen was the mother of Denise Kravitz and her husband Ben of N. Easton, Ellen Amantea and her husband Lou of South Easton, Robert Levangie and his wife Susan of Gold Canyon, AZ and Jacqueline Gonyea and her husband Phil of Apache Junction, AZ. She leaves 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and was the sister of the late Muriel, John, Francis and Robert McLaughlin.
A funeral Service will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte, 123) Brockton on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the Mass National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:45 pm. Visitation will be held at the home of Maureen’s daughter Ellen on Saturday 2-5 pm. and at her daughter Denise’s home on Sunday 2-5 pm.
