Some Sharon residents saw U.S. Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA) in their living rooms during lunch Friday without turning on their TVs.
Fresh from Washington, D.C., the Wrentham resident delivered Meals on Wheels for to five Sharon homes.
Brown also found himself fielding the local media's questions about politics: specificially, his claim Wednesday, as reported in the Huffington Post, that he had "seen the photos" of Osama bin Laden's dead body, and subsequent statement that "The photo that I saw and that a lot of other people saw is not authentic."
Brown then drove over to Abbott Avenue, where he delivered a lunch to resident Ruth Glassoff, and chatted with her family in their living room.
Meals on Wheels is the program through which HESSCO "provides home-delivered meals to elders who would otherwise have difficulty" getting to one of the agency's meals sites, according to a HESSCO brochure.
Brown noted he delivered Meals on Wheels in Millis, north of Sharon, as a state senator.
Besides Sharon, HESSCO serves Canton, Dedham, Foxboro, Medfield, Millis, Norfolk Norwood, Plainville, Walpole, Westwood and Wrentham.
