The 2nd Annual Heights Hope Project car wash and lemonade stand will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the .

The cost is $5 per vehicle.

The proceeds from this event will benefit Birthday Wishes, a nonprofit company that brings the magic of a birthday party to thousands of homeless children each year. Last year, the Sharon community supported the kindergartners in raising funds for the American Red Cross supporting victims of the Massachusetts tornadoes.

Mel and Alice Springer will entertain at the Not Just Another Coffeehouse at 7 p.m. at the .

“Baseball and Jazz” combines baseball stories, cartoons and humor in the early days of baseball (1903 to 1919) with the wonderful jazz music of the time.

The Sharon Softball Association is hosting a Sharon Summer Showdown tournament from Friday to Sunday at the Ames Street playground.

There will be 24 teams coming from not only out of town, but from other states.

The games aren't open to the public, but spectators are welcomed. A full snack shack will have breakfast and lunch available for purchase and softball apparel for sale.
