Countdown to Sharon's Independence Day Celebration

The Food Truck Fair will be new to the Sharon Independence Celebration.


Ready for the annual Sharon Independence Day Celebration?
A full day of festives will take place Wednesday, July 3, leading up to the fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
4 p.m.-Bicycle and Doll Carriage Parade. (Participants are asked to line up Beech Tree Park at 3:45 p.m.)4;30-9:30 p.m. The Lakeside Celebration will take place. There will be entertainment, carnival games, train rides and slot car racing from The Roaming Railroad, a Sharon Independence Day tradition, a Hands-On Animal exhibits, Sunnyrock 4-H club, weather permitting and live music by Sharon's own Dred Sox.
8 p.m.-There will be a pie eating contest with a $50 first place prize on the line. You must be 18 or older to participate. You will have sign up with Sharon Independence Day Committee member.
New this year is the first Food Truck Fair, featuring many of the best of Boston food trucks. Expected to be there are The Chubby Chicken, The Dining Car, Boston's Baddest Burgers, Captain Marden's Seafoods, Govanni's Italian Ice and The Cookie Monstach.
