5 Things, Jan. 4: Foster Children Information Coming to Sharon

The FIrst Congregational Church or Sharon will host a Cantata for Epiphany on Sunday at 3 p.m. Find out a few more things in Sharon this weekend.

1. Lutheran Social Services of Brockton is involved in the placement and support of Foster Children and their Foster Parents in Eastern Massachusetts, and will meet at 7 p.m. today in Sharon at 4 North Main St. The group will be sharing their knowledge and experiences and will intorduce a Foster Parent and a Foster Child who will tell their stories. This  program is free and open to the public. 

2. Sharon officials have announced the annual Christmas tree collection schedule for those in town who bought a tree for the holidays. To see the schedule, click here.

3. The First Congregational Church of Sharon on Sunday, Jan. 6, will host a Cantata for Epiphany, "Born a Savior, Born a King-The Prophecy Fulfilled" by John Purifoy. The performance will begin at 3 p.m. and a reception will following in the Parish Hall. All floors are handicap accessiblefrom the parking lot. Free will donation for the Ilse Marks Food Pantry and the church's music program.
