5 Things, Jan. 2: Selectmen to Meet Thursday
Increasing ambulance rates are among this week's agenda items for the Board of Selectmen.
1. The Sharon Board of Selectmen will meet at 8:30 p.m. this Thursday, Jan. 3, to discuss a variety of items, including the consideration of increasing ambulance rates in town.
2. The PJ Library Bagels and Books Drop-In Group will meet today at 9:30 a.m. at Temple Sinai of Sharon.
3. A group of local students recently shined in the "Blessed Sacrament Christmas Show" in Walpole.

5. Welcoming in the New Year, the Galleries of the Providence Art Club will be displaying “New Year: New Members” and “Class & Staff” exhibitions Jan. 2-11. The opening reception will be Sunday, Jan. 6 from 2-4 p.m. at 11 Thomas St, Providence, Rhode Island. The Maxwell Mays and Dodge House galleries will be open Monday-Friday 12 noon-4 p.m., and weekends 2-4 p.m. All exhibits are free and open to the public.
