TI of Sharon To Debut “Little Minyans” on September 22

Temple Israel of Sharon (located at 125 Pond Street) is pleased to invite the community to its new offering for families with young children, Little Minyans.  Designed for families with children aged five and under, Little Minyans will provide experiences for young children relating to holiday and Jewish life celebrations.  This new program, led by Rabbi Leslie Gordon, who also has been successfully leading High Holiday services at the synagogue for many years, will allow young children to learn about and experience Jewish holidays and rituals.

Each session will include age-appropriate discussions, hands-on activities and special snacks or meals.  Little Minyans kicks off on September 22, 2013 at 10:30am with a lulav shake to celebrate the festival of Sukkot.

“I am excited by the formation of this new group within Temple Israel,” stated Marion Gribetz, Vice President of Education at Temple Israel.  “Little Minyans will provide another opportunity for young families to engage in Jewish learning in an interactive, fun and meaningful manner,” continued Gribetz.

Additional events for the Little Minyans group include a Havdalah Pajama Party on Saturday, November 23 at 6pm; a Field Trip to the Ark on Thursday, December 12 at 3:30pm; Tu Bishvat Planting on Thursday, January 16 at 3:30pm; celebrating Purim on Sunday, March 16; Getting Ready for Seder on Tuesday, April 8 at 10am; a Lag BʼOmer Picnic on Sunday, May 18 at 10am and a Welcoming Shabbat Celebration on Friday, June 6 at 5:30pm.
