Top 5 Tips for Traveling to Disney This Summer

Mickey Adventures, a full-service travel agency specializing in Disney vacations, wants to share its Top 5 Tips for Traveling to Disney this summer.  While it can be hot during the summer in Orlando, these tips will enhance the pleasure of your Disney vacation.

·         Tip 1: Get to the parks early, and take a break in the middle of the day when the heat is at its worst.  Return to the park in the evening.

·         Tip 2: Stop at any counter service restaurant to get free, filtered ice water.  In addition, bring reusable water bottles for everyone (and freeze them the night before!).

·         Tip 3: Ride all the wet rides, like Kali River Rapids and Splash Mountain, to cool off.  Also, let the kids run around in the various splash/spray areas, they’ll be dry in 30 minutes!

·         Tip 4: If you don’t want to go back to your resort for a break, take a break by visiting another resort, or schedule table service meals for lunch to get a break from the heat.

·         Tip 5: Bring ponchos for late afternoon thunderstorms, which frequently develop during the summer months.  You can also use ponchos as stroller covers, so bring several.

“While Orlando can be hot in the summer, Disney still provides plenty of options to cool down, making your trip comfortable and enjoyable,” explained Jen Zinno, Mickey Adventures’ Owner.  “While Disney is truly a year round destination, the summer months can be undoubtedly exciting,” continued Zinno.

Zinno insists that following these tips will help make the trip to the parks a lower stress, more pleasurable experience for the entire family, even in the hot Orlando sun.  In addition, while you are in Orlando this summer, don’t miss out on Disney's Frozen summer.  Now through September 1, 2014, Disney is hosting many “Frozen” inspired offerings at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  These include new fireworks spectacular; ice skating, a sing-along, dance party, Anna and Elsa’s Royal Welcome and more.  For more details and tips, and to plan your next Disney vacation, please visit www.mickeyadventures.com.
