On Saturday, Jan. 26, FOG Academy will host a free "Family Fun Day" at 427 Turnpike Street in Canton.
FOG Academy is new Canton-based biblical and education childcare center, currently caring for children 6 weeks to 5 years.
"It is the lowest costing group childcare center in Canton and hosting a Family Fun Day and getting Canton businesses involved was a way to give back to the community," said Kay Garber, Director of the Fountain of Grace Academy.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
"We here are FOG Academy really feel that the community of Canton and the town around us need a fun day in these cold winter months where children can play in our indoor bounce house or even get their face painted," Garber said. "We're lucky enough to have some great venders that have offered to set up tables to give away free items and free information. All the local venders are family friendly venders that want to help families and the community."
Added Garber, "We decided to do this event back in October and have been working hard to make sure that the word gets out to the community. This event will help to bring families together and to bring the community together. It will also help the economy by bringing attention to the local vendors and what they have to offer," said Garber. "None of the vendors had to pay a table fee and no one is being charged to enter the event. The only money people need to bring is if they want to enter the 50/50 raffle. Half the money will go to the winner, the other money will be donated to FOG Academy for new supplies for the students that attend the childcare center."
