Last week, we launched a new feature on Sharon Patch asking local residents to send us their questions about what's going on in town.
Two readers asked us to check out the meaning behind the teal ribbons that are tied to several lamp posts throughout town, such as the bridge over the Sharon commuter rail station on Rte. 27/Depot Road.
The ribbons, according to Sharon Town Clerk Marlene Chused, stand for the fight against Ovarian Cancer, and have been up for the better part of two weeks. More information about the disease can be found at the Teal Ribbon Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation's website.
You Ask … Patch Answers is a weekly column for locals looking for solutions to community problems, issues and those "only in Sharon" situations that you want solved. If you've got a question about something in Sharon, send it to firstname.lastname@example.org, and our team will dig up an answer.
So, ask away Sharon, and check back on Mondays for You Ask … Patch Answers.
