Sharon Residents Attend 19th Annual Square Jam for the town's 19th Annual Square Jam

Hundreds of people filled Post Office Square in Sharon for the town’s 19th annual Square Jam, which featured Mark Cutler and the Men of Great Courage.

“It’s great. We could here the music from our house,” said Erica Anderson, 37, of nearby High Street. “The kids look forward to [Square Jam] even when we talk about it.”

Tables were set up around the perimeter from many local organizations including the Lions Club, the Historical Society, and the Girl Scouts.

Helen Howley, 80, was one of two women at a table for the Girl Scouts raffling off two Red Sox tickets that were given to them, planning to put the funds towards referbishing the Girl Scout House.

“Quite a few” people had bought raffle tickets, but “not as many as we’d like,” said Howley, pointing to the long lines nearby with people waiting for ice cream from Crescent Ridge or pizza from Pizzigando.

Other vendors providing free food were Ward’s Berry Farm, Coriander, and Mangia.

One of the Sharon residents stadnding in line for food was 35-year-Kevin Collins. “[We] walked up here from Moose Hill Parkway,” he said. “It’s my seventh summer [in Sharon] and it’s my seventh Square Jam.”

“It’s my second year here,” said Yang Luo, 43, of Arboro Drive. “I’m here with my daughters and my neighbor’s kid. It’s great to be here.
