8th Annual Canton Reebok Road Race 2012: Photos

The 8th Annual Reebok Road Race 2012 brought out a record number of runners.

The 8th Annual Canton Reebok Road Race 2012 took place on Saturday, Sept. 15 and brought in a record number of runners. 

The race began with a kids "Fun Run" at 8:30am, followed by the wheelchair race and then the 5K and 10K at 9:00 am.

Howard Goldman, race founder and former President of the Canton Association of Business and Industry said, "In our first year we had 250 runners. Now we have grown to over 700 runners and have raised over $450,000 combined over the past 8 years. This race is the primary fund raiser for CABI."

This year brought in a new race director, Kelly Fattman of Newton, who was responsible for the design of the course, logistics, police detail, tee shirts, the start and finish lines to name a few.

The youngest runner today was 2 year old Alex Matthes who did the 1/2 mile run and was awarded a trophy by State Representative William Galvin who sits on the Canton Association of Business and Industry board.
