5 Things Oct 24: The Bookzilla Book Club at the Library

Sharon School Committee meets tonight at the high school.


It's day three of the Sharon Garden Club Books in Bloom at the Sharon Public Library.

1. This day in history 1945: The United Nations (UN) was established less than one month after the end of World War II

2. At 11:30 a.m. the Sharon Council on Aging has a morning trip to Shaw's Market at the Village Shoppes in Cobbs Corner. All aboard!

3. Then come back to the Sharon Senior Center for a 1 p.m. game of Mah Jong, chess or a "Sit and Be Fit" exercise class. There's lots going on today.

4. It's the Bookzilla Book Club at the Sharon Public Library from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Is it a monster? Is it a dinosaur? Is it a monster dinosaur? No, it's the biggest, baddest book group in town. For ages eight-11 who like to read, like to talk and like to eat snacks (not necessarily at the same time) then this book group is for you. Check at the children's circulation desk for this month's selection and to checkout your copy. Pre-registration is preferred. 5. There is a school committee meeting from 7-10 p.m. this evening at Sharon High School.
