5 Things, Nov 8: Storytime, and Early Release Day and Healthy Eating

There is another early release day for elementary schools and the middle school.

1. A Pre-K Storytime program, with a craft for ages 4-5, will be held at the Sharon Public Library from 1:30-2:15 p.m. This week's theme: Squirrels. 

2. Today is another early release day for elementary schools in Sharon, as well as for early childhood programs and Sharon Middle School.

3. The Sharon Department of Recreation is offering a class in "Eating Healthy" for ages 0-99 today from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the Sharon Community Center Town Hearing Room. Registration is FREE - Please registere here.

4. The Halfway Cafe in Cobbs Corner is offering eight meals for $8 during the month of November. The restaurant also has weekend entertainment, and after 4:30 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays, kids eat for free!

5. On this day in 1960, John F. Kennedy became the youngest man ever to be elected President of the United States, narrowly beating Republican Vice President Richard Nixon. He was also the first Catholic to become president.
