5 Things, Nov 1: 'Wedding Singer' Opens Tonight at Sharon High School

Early release for all elementary schools.

1.The Sharon High School play "The Wedding Singer" opens tonight at 7 p.m. and runs through the weekend with a matinee performance Sunday at 2 p.m.

2. It's an early release day for all Sharon Elementary Schools for parent/teacher conferences.

3. It's Pre-K Story Time for the 4-5-year-olds from 1:30-2:15 p.m. at the Sharon Public Library. There will be storytime and a craft. This week's theme: Scarecrows. Pre-registration required. 4. If you haven't already, pick up a copy of long time Sharon resident Mel Leventhal's book entitled, "Sharon-A Destiny Predicted, A Path Followed". Leventhal believes that Sharon is a special township with ambiance and personality all its own. You can pick up your copy at the museum at 16 High Street or mail your check for $19.95 to Sharon Historical Society, Inc., PO Box 175, Sharon, MA 02067-0175. Profits from the sale of the book will be divided between the Sharon Historical Society and the Marilyn Leventhal Scholarship Fund at Sharon High School.
