TOBY KEITH'S I LOVE THIS BAR & GRILL NAMED TASTE OF PATRIOT PLACE WINNER AT CORNHOLE COMMOTION

Since arriving on the scene in Foxboro in the spring of 2011, Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill has impressed locals and Patriot Place visitors with lively country music, a homey menu and the brand’s laid-back approach to hospitality.

On Saturday, June 21st, Toby Keith’s impressed the crowd at Matt Light’s Cornhole Commotion – winning the charity event’s annual Taste of Patriot Place honors. Kitchen Manager Bianca Fontes prepared the restaurant’s signature pulled pork sliders and won raves for being the perfect palate-pleaser for the Cornhole crowd. Tournament players, observers and families enjoyed the tangy barbecue sandwiches with sweet tasty coleslaw.

Toby’s was one of 7 local restaurants partaking in Matt Light’s Cornhole Commotion event in the Dana Farber Field House. Attendees were invited to vote on the best Taste of Patriot Place signature item. Toby’s beat out some serious culinary menu items including Davio’s homemade gnocchi with basil pesto, chili-glazed crispy chicken wings from CBS Scene, Red Robin mini cheeseburgers and fries, BBQ espresso-rubbed smoked ribs from Tavolino and cranberry chicken salad from Twenty8 at the Renaissance Hotel. One might argue that the real winners were the lucky attendees that got to buy these delicious plates for a $5 donation to The Light Foundation. In addition, James’ Breakfast & More of Wrentham, served up an impressive menu of lobster rolls, coleslaw, sausage and peppers, and homemade chips in the Ruger VIP Area. Legendary confectioner Konditor Meister capped off the  meals in the VIP section with individually-wrapped chocolate frosted football cookies.

“Toby’s gets that the Cornhole crowd is a lot like a tailgating crowd. Cornhole players want something good to eat, on the fly. The smell of delicious pulled pork sliders wafted through the field house – and people were drawn to the Toby’s station,” 11-year New England Patriot left tackle and event host, Matt Light explained. “Even with the competitive culinary line-up that we had in our food concourse, Toby’s stood out with their simple home-style cooking - and that’s saying a lot because we had great food and amazing servers here today.”

Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill is a restaurant chain founded by country music singer Toby Keith. The bar is named after Keith's hit song "I Love This Bar", originally recorded for his 2003 album Shock'n Y'all. Toby Keith's Bar & Grill locations operate as full-service restaurants with large bars in the shape of guitars. They primarily serve American cuisine, especially Southern food. The bars regularly have live musical entertainment from local performers. Keith himself has made surprise visits to franchises, where he performs and socializes with fans.
