Last Call for Lee Flaxer Award Nominations

The Sharon Education Foundation (SEF) today announced that Monday, June 16th is the deadline for nominations for the 2014 Lee Flaxer Award.

The award, named in honor of the former principal of Heights Elementary School, honors  recipients who have had an impact on the lives of children through dedication and personal involvement.  This award is not limited to teachers.  Other individuals, who play important roles in education within the Sharon schools or within the town generally, will be considered.

Past recipients include:  Roland James, John Brande, Meg Verret, Lisa Fireman, Joan Wernick, Bill Fish, Timothy Vigorito and Michael Hocking.

Applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 16th to be considered.
