Illustrated Talk at Sharon Historical Society this Thursday!

Sharon's own Gary Sullivan, who regularly appears on the popular television show "Antiques Roadshow" will be the star of the Sharon Historical Society's Quarterly meeting this Thursday, March 13, 2014.

The meeting begins at 7 pm at the Society's Museum, 16 High St. (near the library and Congregational Church).   Admission is free and light refreshments will be served.

Gary will be presenting an illustrated talk on the evolution of the Antiques marketplace and recent trends he has observed.   It promises to be informative and entertaining.  You may come away with good ideas about what you should be hanging onto from Grandma's attic... or considering buying from your teenager's electronic art savvy friend!

As usual, artifacts, antiques, and interesting documents about Sharon, MA are on display within the Museum.  Please come this Thursday to enjoy the illustrated talk and see what's inside that white building.

The Society is an all volunteer, non-profit organization that enthusiastically welcomes new members, ideas, and help on various projects throughout the year.  Currently we are looking for help Archiving - if you are a careful and organized person this could be your spot!  Also we'd love a person to breathe new life into our now very quiet gift shop area - this could be a great fit for a person interested in marketing as a school project or resume builder.  More info is available at sharonhistoricalsociety.org

Also, check out our new community FACEBOOK page.  Just look for Sharon Historical Society  in the Facebook search block, select the MA one; and consider adding your comment or treasured photo copy to the wealth of material building up on the page!
