Sharon Couple Raising Awareness for Male Breast Cancer, Sharon Police on Social Media

Male Breast Cancer Awareness
A Sharon couple will be hosing a breast cancer fundraiser this Monday in Boston. Resident Mike Selsmen was diagnosed with the disease and now he is raising awareness.
Last year, the Selsmen and his wife Kara helped lobbied to make the third week in October Male Breast Cancer Awareness week. To launch the week, the Selsmen will be holding an event at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute's Yawkey Center for Cancer Care in Boston on Oct. 21 at 2 p.m.to help others learn more about this disease and help save lives through knowledge and early detection.
Speakers include Commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Cheryl Bartlett, Representative Lou Kafka, Kara and Mike Selsman, Peter Devereaux, and Dr. Beth Overmoyer of Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

Sharon Rec Seeking Summer Staff for Summer 2014
The Sharon Recreation Department is seeking applications for summer employment. Waterfront applications preferred. If you are interested, please visit www.sharonrec.com to fill out an application. All applications should be submitted by December 9th, 2013. Interviews may not be granted to late applications. All applications must be submitted and verified in-person during regular business hours.
