Ex-Inmates To Speak

This week's presentation, as part of the Conversations at the Meetinghouse Series, is on the topic of the Commonwealth's prisons.

Mel Springer, known mostly for his musicianship, has a long history of working and volunteering in Massachusetts prisons. Mel has invited some former inmates and others who have volunteered in the prisons and his wife, Alice, who formerly taught at Bridgewater and Framingham, to talk about the prison system here in Massachusetts.

Conversations at the Meetinghouse is a forum based on the concept that the meetinghouse in Colonial days was the center of community life. Today, with our busy lives, we seldom have the opportunity to know what our neighbor's passions are. Here, the first Friday of each month, there is an opportunity to hear interesting people discuss topics that they care about.

Program begins at 7 pm. This is a free program, open to the public.
