The Sharon Adult Center and Council on Aging held an open house Thursday night for about 30 Chinese elders who attend the center's weekly socialization program, Executive Director Norma Simons Fitzgerald said today.

"Some of the elders also attend English classes and other programs, including our monthly social in the ballroom, Zumba, and other classes," she said.

"Their families came last night in response to our open house invitation for them, and expressed deep appreciation for all that they feel the town is doing to make their parents' lives fuller and give them purpose."
