(VIDEO) Sharon's Earth Day Celebration Empowers Visitors

Local groups offered energy efficiency tips during Saturday's event.

At the intersection of North Main and High streets, Sharon Boy Scouts repaired bicycles on Saturday.

Further up High Street, across from the parking lot, The Mighty Silverbacks played rock 'n' roll tunes.

In between, visitors created an Earth Day chalk mural on the pavement. And learned about conserving water. And signed up for no-cost home energy assessments. And tasted mango lassis.

Sharon's Earth Day Celebration featured two rows of kiosks offering a variety of energy efficiency tips.

The Sustainable Sharon Coalition and the Sharon Friends of Conservation sponsored the four-hour event, which was moved from today due to the rainy forecast.
