Timilty Faces State Senate Challenger

Attleboro resident Jeff Bailey plans March 29 campaign kickoff.

 

State Sen. James Timilty, whose district includes part of Sharon, will face a challenger in November.

Attleboro Republican Jeff Bailey will kick off his campaign for the Bristol and Norfolk District State Senate seat from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 29 at the Lafayette House, on Route 1 in Foxborough, his campaign announced Thursday.

The district includes: Attleboro's ward 3, precinct B, ward 4, precincts A and B, ward 5, precincts A and B, ward 6, precincts A and B; Mansfield; Norton; Rehoboth; Seekonk; and Dover; Foxborough; Medfield; Sharon, precincts 1, 4 and 5; and Walpole.

Bailey has been senior pastor of Attleboro's Grace Baptist Church for 23 years, according to his campaign's website. He also is the chaplain for the Attleboro Police Department.

Timilty, D-Walpole, has served in the Senate since 2004.
