The swim team has really started the season out with a bang, both boys and girls winning their first two meets against Taunton and King Philip.
The King Philip meet was certainly a highlight and really shined some light on how the rest of the season could go for us. King Philip is a strong team with some great swimmers and we went into the meet ready to race. The kids really pulled through and had some standout swims.
On the girls side we started the meet off with our 200 medley relay team of Ally Dunlap, Tabitha May, Julia Cox and Alex Arnoff qualifying for states with a time of 2:06.80. Liza Krause had two state qualifying times in the 200 free (2:05.30) and the 100 fly (1:04.08). Tabitha May got a sectionals cut in the 200 Individual Medley with a time of 2:27.45. Our 200 free relay team of Alex Arnoff, Liza Krause, Carly Krause and Julia Cox qualified for sectionals with a time of 1:54.23, and the 400 free relay team of Ally Dunlap, Tabitha May, Liza Krause and Christine LaHive made sectionals with a time of 4:13.86.
The boys started the meet off just as strong with a state cut in the 200 medley relay of Nickie Cheung, Jon Dunlap, Eoghan Daly and Will Sweet. Eoghan Daly had state qualifying times in the 200 free (1:55.22) and the 100 fly (58.09). Ben Mo qualified for sectionals in the 200 free (1:57.18), Nickie Cheung in the 100 free (52.84), Jon Dunlap in the 100 breast (1:08.59) and Will Sweet also in the 100 breast (1:07.14). 200 free relay team of Jack Fergenbaum, Jon Dunlap, Will Sweet and Ben Mo qualified for sectionals with a time of 1:39.50, as well as 400 free relay team of Eoghan Daly, Ben Mo, Tadhg Daly and Nickie Cheung with a time of 3:41.08.
