Sharon School Committee Draws Third Potential Candidate
The deadline for taking out nomination papers is noon Friday, March 23.
A third person has taken out nomination papers for Sharon School Committee, which has two three-year seats on the May 15 annual town ballot.
Canoe River Road resident Amy Garcia has joined neighbor Kathleen Currul-Dykeman and Heights Elementary School PTO Chairman Veronica Wiseman in running for school board.
Glenn Allen and Mitch Blaustein are the incumbents.

Now, only selectman and Sharon Public Library trustee haven't drawn potential contests.

Nomination papers must be submitted to the Board of Registrars of Voters for certification of names by 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 27.
Coach Lane resident Cheryl Weinstein and Wilshire Drive resident Robert Maidman both have taken out nomination papers for a five-year term on the planning board. Susan Price is the incumbent.
Selectman Richard Powell, Assessor Richard Gorden and Library Trustee Robert Levin have each taken out papers for another term.
Mink Trap Lane resident Thomas Corrado also has taken out papers for assessor. And Oak Hill Drive resident Kirstin Gray has taken out papers for library trustee. Incumbent Library Trustee Amie Beth Saphire has said she won't seek re-election.
All offices on the ballot are for three years except for the planning board.
