Bluestein referred Sharon Patch to Town Administrator Benjamin Puritz for details. Puritz is away, handling a personal matter, town officials said.
Assistant Recreation Director Amanda Deni will serve as interim director until a new director is hired, Bluestein said.
The Recreation Advisory Committee plans to introduce the interim director at its meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 19 at the Sharon Community Center, according to the agenda posted at the Sharon Town Offices. The Sharon Recreation Department offices are in the community center.
MacGowan began his fifth year in Sharon in June, Bluestein said. MacGown succeeded Marshall Bradshaw.
Recreation director is the latest open position in Sharon.
