Sharon Police Log: Parked Cars Pose Problems for Snow Plows

The following information was provided by the Sharon Police Department daily log. Where an arrest was made, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

Sunday, Feb. 17

10:15 a.m. - A report of hazardous conditions when a motor vehicle was partially blocking the roadway on Heather Way.

10:24 a.m. - A report of hazardous conditions when several motor vehicles were parked in the middle of the road on Hampton Road.

10:42 a.m. - A Massachusetts motorist was parked in the middle of the street on Aspen Road.

12:17 p.m. - Hazardous conditions when three motor vehicles were blocking plowing operations.

12:25 p.m. - A report of a low hanging power line on Moose Hill Street and Walpole Street.

2:01 p.m. - A man was stuck in a snow bank on Bayberry Drive.

Monday, Feb. 18

6:35 a.m. - A report of hazardous conditions when a log was found laying across the road on Jefferson Avenue.

9:56 a.m. - A report of snow drifts in roadway on Massapoag Avenue.

20:17 - A speeding citation was issued to a Massachusetts motorist in the area of Rte. 1 and Old Post Road.

Tuesday, Feb. 19

12:50 a.m. - Two suspicious males reportedly screaming and yelling at one another on North Main Street.

9:08 a.m. - A speeding citation was issued to a Massachusetts motorist on Massapoag Avenue and Morse Street.

Wednesday, Feb. 20

8:56 a.m. - A speeding citation was issued to a Massachusetts motorist on Cobbs Corner Circle and North Main Street.

Thursday, Feb. 21

3:00 p.m. - Erratic operation of a white van who was tailgating on North Main Street.

6:12 p.m. - A motor vehicle accident involving 2 Massachusetts motorists, with property damage on South Main Street.

Friday, Feb. 22

11:20 p.m. -A speeding citation was issued to a Massachusetts motorist on Pond Street and Ames Street. 

10:26 a.m. - A citation was issued to a Massachusetts motorist for a seat belt violation on East Foxboro Street and Condor Road. 

Saturday, Feb. 23

1:08 p.m. - Erratic operation of a motor vehicle who was driving on the wrong side of the road on South Main Street.
