Sharon Police Log: Cement Falls From Rte. I-95 Bridge

The following information was provided by the Sharon Police Department daily log.

 

Sunday, Oct. 7

3:02 p.m. - There was a suspicious motor vehicle seen on South Main Street. Officer checked.

9:12 p.m. - A motorist received a verbal warning after being stopped for speeding on South Main Street and Hampshire Ave.

1:12 p.m. - There was a suspicious motor vehicle on East Foxboro Street and King Philip Road.

1:23 p.m. - There was suspicious activity reported on High Street.

6:15 p.m. - Erratic operation of a white pick up truck on Norwood Street and Maskwonicut Street.

8:59 p.m. - There was a suspicious motor vehicle seen on Massapoag Ave.

Monday, Oct. 8

10:19 a.m. -  On Rte. 95 at Exit 8; S Highway at South Main Street, a two-foot piece of cement fell from a bridge. Another police department was notified.

12:41 p.m. - There was a suspicious motor vehicle seen on South Main Street.

12:59 p.m. - A suspicious motor vehicle was seen on South Main Street.

5:31 p.m. - Motorist was stopped operating an unlicensed motor vehicle on South Main Street and Lee Road.

6:14 p.m. - A kitten was stuck up in a tree on Tracey Lane.

10:00 p.m. - Report of an injured deer on the side of the road on Bay Road and Wilshire Drive.

Tuesday, Oct. 9

12:59 a.m. - A suspicious motor vehicle was seen on South Pleasant Street.

10:08 a.m. - Parking violation on Billings Street and Pond Street. A landscape truck was removed from the sidewalk.

10:14 a.m. - A case of identity theft on Mountain Street.

11:32 a.m. - There was a report of hazardous conditions when a tree limb blocked the road on Edge Hill Road.

12:10 p.m. - Driver was operating an unlicensed motor vehicle on Norwood Street and Upland Road.

2:52 p.m. - An unregistered motor vehicle On Dunbar and South Main Street.

7:27 p.m. - Erratic operation of a motor vehicle on Hampton Road.

10:37 p.m. - There was a suspicious motor vehicle on Furnace Street and Wolomolopoag. Subject was pulled over.

Wednesday, Oct. 10

12:04 a.m. - There was a suspicious motor vehicle on South Pleasant Street.

3:19 a.m. - There was a suspicious motor vehicle seen at Shaw's Plaza and South Main Street.

8:40 a.m. - A speeding citation was given to a motorist on Massapoag Ave. and Capen Hill Road.

11:14 a.m. - Suspicious activity when a neighbor reported hearing gun shots on Norfolk Place.5:19 p.m. - Weapons were seized on A

5:19 p.m. - Weapons were seized and LTC permit on Aztec Way.

6:57 p.m. - There was a report of a disturbance on Pond Street, a past assault.

Thursday, Oct. 11

12:11 p.m. - There was a disturbance on BeachRoad and Beach Street. A party reported hearing someone screaming.

12:59 a.m. - A suspicious motor vehicle was seen at Heights Plaza and South Main Street.

3:29 a.m. - There was a suspicious motor vehicle on Pond Street.

11:44 a.m. - A report of suspicious activity on Lake Street. School was reported to be wide open. Owner was contacted.

4:11 p.m. - Erratic operation of a motor vehicle when a red pick up was passing on Mountain Street.

5:35 p.m. - Fingerprints were taken at the station for securities license.

5:53 p.m. - Motorist was seen leaving the scene of an accident on Lake Street. The other motor vehicle was hit while parked on the street.

8:47p.m. - Suspicious Activity, A white van was reported being seen at the end of a driveway on Massapoag Ave.

9:45 p.m. - A citation was given  to a speeding motorist on High Plain Street and Cedrus Road.

11:05 p.m. - A disabled motor vehicle was left in the middle of the road on Bishop Road.

Friday, Oct. 12

1:18 a.m. - A suspicious vehicle pulled out from behind plaza on South Main Street.

9:07 p.m. - A suspicious motor vehicle was seen on Bluff Head Road and Walpole Street.

5:31 p.m. - An officer reports that there was a suspicious person/youth hiding in the bushes on Forge Road.

Saturday, Oct. 13

2:12 a.m. - There was a disturbance reported on Rt. 1 Highway when unwanted parties were in the parking lot.

11:02 a.m. - An animal complaint of loose chickens on North Main Street.

11:17 a.m. - Erratic operation of a motor vehicle who was driving in and out of a funeral procession on East Street and Bay Road.

2:03 p.m. - Report of public drinking with an open container, erratic operation on North Main Street and South Main Street.

2:44 p.m. - A motor vehicle accident with property damage on Pond Street.

11:03 p.m. - A speeding citation was issued to a motorist on South Main Street and Berkshire Ave.
