Sharon High has 7 -- and Coach --on Ultimate Disc All-States
Kurman-Faber, Darcy lead the group.
Eight members of Sharon High School's 2012 Ultimate Disc program -- including A-team head coach Dave Christiansen and captains Sam D'Arcy and Jonah Kurman-Faber -- are All-State selections.
USA Ultimate has named Christiansen its Massachusetts Open Division 1 Coach of the Year, according to its website.
D'Arcy and Kurman-Faber were named to the Massachusetts Open Division 1 second team.
The state coaches and players were chosen through a "peer nomination and voting process," the organization says.
Sharon B-team member Maura Cosman was named to the Massachusetts Open Division 2 first team. And Sharon C-team members Adam Meserve, Alex Gekow, Ethan Aronson and Joe Haviland were named to the Massachusetts Open Division 3 first team.
D'Arcy, Kurman-Faber and Cosman graduated in June. Meserve, Gekow, Aronson and Haviland are entering their junior year.
The A-team finished fifth at the 2012 USA Ultimate Massachusetts High School Division 1 Championships in May. The Bad Clams finished the season 16-13.
