Sharon's Independence Day Celebration is just one day away from sparkling.
The Veteran's Memorial Park Beach festivities start at 3:45 p.m., when kids will line up at Beech Tree Park for the Bicycle and Doll Carriage Parade at 4 p.m., according to the event website.
The fireworks will start at 9:30 p.m., and last about 22 minutes, Sharon Fourth of July Committee Chairman Paul Bergeron says.
Activities will run from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. and will range from carnival games to hands-on animal exhibits by Sharon's Sunnyrock 4-H Club, the schedule says.
The Back Roads Band will perform.
Food will be available throughout the event.
Parking information, meanwhile, is found here.
Organizers will be collecting donations at the beach's main entrance, committee member Scott Goldman says.
Sharon's festivities are funded solely through donations, he notes.
The committee will post event updates on Twitter, at https://twitter.com/#!/search/sharonjuly4.
The National Weather Service in Taunton's Tuesday forecast is for sunshine, with a high temperature near 87 degrees, during the day, and cooling to 63 degrees at night.
