On March 2, 2013 at approximately 10:23 a.m., a Sharon resident reported his South Main Street residence had just been broken into and the suspect vehicle fled the area.
While fleeing the area, this vehicle nearly struck the resident. He was on foot at the time and was not injured. He was able to obtain a description of the vehicle and both individuals who were involved.
Sgt. Hugh Cameron, Officer Paul Hertzberg and Det. Kevin Bishop responded to the scene. The house was not entered but a rear door was damaged.
Further investigation by Det. Bishop led to an arrest warrant for Laurabeth Digirolamo, 32, of Foxborough, charging her with the following attempt to commit a crime (breaking and entering) and assault by means of a dangerous weapon (car).
She was subsequently arrested on this warrant on March 7, at her residence by Sharon Police Detectives (Leonard/Bishop) with assistance from the Foxboro Police Department. She was later taken to Stoughton District Court for arraignment. The case remains under active investigation and a second arrest is anticipated for this incident.
